Most IT employers demand commercial experience before considering you for employment

HamptonFund-No Experiences?
HamptonFund-No Experiences?

Lack of commercial experience working on real projects makes it difficult for employers to consider you, even if you are technically certified. Unfortunately, experience is available only from employers.

Often, companies won't fund employees skills because of freedom of movement: once trained you can walk away and take their investment with you.

Hampton Fund gives you the real experience that you need for a career in Microsoft .NET 2.0 by giving you a little training, and a lot of practice on software systems and projects.

Costs of training for a new IT job, or the risk of bad training decisions, can lock you out of your new career

HamptonFund-Worried About Costs?
HamptonFund-Worried About Costs?

High cost of training privately can be a lock out on your career development. Training for a certification or a degree carry a high risk if the training doesn't pay off.

Many training organisations have no stake in you or your career once your training is finished, and so leave you unprepared for the job market.

Hampton Fund Career Partnership has an alternative: it's free to join, and we share the financial risk and rewards with you once you are earning.

Title: End of day 2 - my brain hurts
Post: At the end of day2 i am finding 3 hours of learning hard to absorb. I found today it was better to rewatch the last hour first thing when ue brain is emptier. I am suprised at the depth i am being taught into subjects not on my course outline but i suppose it will all be handy to know in future. My schedule is saying i have been absent for last 2 days which is wrong as i have been sat here attentivly at 12pm both days. Emailed support but didn't really get any answers from them.

 Title: Impressed so far
Post: Wel i scheduled my first course and am very impressed with how it all works. Unlike other home study courses you have a set time to study which is a great idea as you won't be able to procrasinate or be distracted but also it is flexible enough to let you choose dates and times. I'm looking forward to seeing what the course is like itself.

 Title: IT Fundamentals last day
Post: well most of the IT Fundamentals lectures came together at the end but it would have been nice to have been shown where all the other courses topics fit into each other because this is what i think of being IT not just programming a web page! all in all i would have named this course web programming Fundamentals and not IT Fundamentals. but my mcsa Fundamentals start next and with the quality of the lectures i think i will injoy this a lot more as i know what it is going to be about so i can read other books about the subject at the same time.

Title: IT Fundamentals week 1 day 4
Post: well i have just started the hampton fund courses i am on IT Fundamentals but it seems to be going into programming commands from day 1 and i am on the 3rd language and im on day 3 now i think this is a bit over the top for it fundamentals. I would have liked to have seen how a computer network and servers and clients are connected first and how users and clients interact with them. and then started about programming then once i know how java/sgl/html fit into it all so i new how it all interconnect with each other. the lectures are ok i am not sure if i need to know every command by the end of the week? also day 3 some messages kept popping up and taking me out of full srceen for the lecture. hope the other courses are a bit different

 Title: New Blog
Post: Hello one and all out there in prospective development land, well this is a new blog system so I’m not sure where this will appear!! I am on day three of my MCTS lectures having already completed IT and C Sharp fundamentals. So far the coarse has been very good, we have covered an introduction to Visual Studios and C# Windows applications, yesterday we covered Classes and were introduced to OOP programming concepts. Today has been error handling and debugging. All in all the lectures are well structured and well presented, as we are just starting many of these ideas are glossed over but I am sure we will return to them I much more detail over the next three and a half weeks. Well I need an cuppa and a rest now so TTFN
